The Discovery Science and Biotechnology Meeting, (DSB) makes
a distinctive contribution to the climate of innovation in Australia,
by:
- promoting state-of-the-art research in the proteomic and genomic
fields
- promoting innovation and an entrepreneurial approach to science,
in the Australian context
- inviting speakers who are the best both nationally and globally
- at a price research scientists' grants can afford!
- providing a forum where ideas of innovation and the wherewithal
to develop them, are accessible and brought to the attention
of our top molecular scientists
This conference is unique among biotech conferences
worldwide. DSB brings together top national and international
scientists who are leading the development of genomic and proteomic
research tools, and the premier biotech companies that are spearheading
the development of commercial applications of these techniques. DSB
also introduces scientists to commercial possibilities of innovative
science by including talks from scientists who have successfully
set up companies; and a session from business professionals on
how to recognise IP and commercialise it. The delegates and speakers
represent the foremost laboratories working in Biotechnology in
Australia.
International speakers are invited from Europe, the United States
and Asia. The 2002 Meeting focused on Japanese-Australian research
ties and investment potential.
Discovery
Science and Biotechnology is aimed at scientists,
and aims to equip scientists with the latest techniques in genomic
and proteomic research as well as introducing them to the possibility
of commercial development.
The 2007 program runs over a full three days includes several sponsored Workshops in the program. Corbett Research is again a sponsor of the speakers, sessions and morning tea of one of the Workshops in the scientific program. |
